 Milestones in My Academic Story

 


It is with immense pride and gratitude that I share an update on my academic journey after leaving the nurturing environment of New Al Wurood International School (NAWIS)

NAWIS was not just a school for me; it played a significant role in molding my personality and character over 12 years. The values of diligence, integrity, and compassion that I imbibed during my time at NAWIS have been my guiding principles throughout my life.

I am excited to announce that I have completed my Bachelor's degree in Communicative English with distinction. This achievement is significant, and I credit a huge portion of it to the educational foundation I gained at NAWIS. The dedication of our teachers and fellow students was crucial to my path.

But there's more to share! My passion for language led me to pursue higher studies. I have completed my Master's degrees in Linguistics (Regular) and English Language & Literature (Distance). Currently, I am pursuing a B.Ed in English at Iqbal Training College, further sharpening my teaching skills and passion for language.

NAWIS, in many ways, prepared me to endure challenges and excel in opportunities. If I’m able to handle any tasks today, it is because of the seeds that were planted in those golden years of school life. One of the most cherished aspects of my NAWIS journey has been the lifelong friendships and connections I formed. I've always strived to stay connected with my teachers and friends from NAWIS and IQBAL College, as they continue to inspire me.

I extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who have helped me grow.

TEACHING PRACTICE - WEEK 1

Teaching Practice – Week 1 The first week of teaching practice was a really nice experience! Our first class began on 14th July 2025 and  I took classes for both the 8th and 9th standards. After a quick introduction, I started teaching the first chapter in both classes. It felt great interacting with the students and creating a lively atmosphere in the classroom. Our teacher gave us the timetable for handling both classes, which helped us plan things better. During the lunch break, we got the chance to help serve their mid-day meal,  a new and heartwarming experience for me as a teacher. This week, the school also conducted an exam to check the students’ language skills.

6th - 23rd JAN 2025 - "LINGUA AURA" ORGANISED LITERARY COMPETITIONS

  The literary competitions organized by the Lingua Aura Literary Club in association with the Arts Club were conducted successfully from January 6th to 22nd, 2025 , at Iqbal Training College, Peringammala . The events included essay writing, short story writing, poetry writing (in both English and Malayalam), poster making, pencil drawing, collage making, clay modeling, cartooning, and painting. Each event saw enthusiastic participation from students , showcasing their creativity and talent. The competitions were well-coordinated under the leadership of Dr. B. Suresh (Principal & General Convenor) , Ms. Anu P Kumar (Staff Convener) , Ms. Nandana A R (Literary Club Convener) , Ms. Nahadia Bint Nazar (Joint Convener) , and Ms. Lavanya S Manoj (Arts Club Secretary) .

22 JULY 2024 - CAPACITY BUILDING 1

 CAPACITY BUILDING 1 : LEADERSHIP  Capacity Building Session 1 was centered on Leadership. Class was taken by  Mr. Thomas K Stephen  a resource person NSS , DHSE. The session highlighted the qualities of a good leader and emphasized the importance of initiative, teamwork, and communication. It was interactive, motivating, and helped us reflect on our own leadership potential.
